Sakshi Chaudhary’s journey to the CWG 2026 quarterfinals is about more than just one 5-0 victory. The Indian boxer took a major decision ahead of the Games by moving from the 54kg category, where she had competed for five years, to the women’s 51kg division.
The change meant Sakshi had to prove herself again against strong competition at home. During the selection trials, she faced accomplished Indian boxers including Nikhat Zareen and Minakshi Hooda and earned her opportunity to represent India in Glasgow.
Now, the 25-year-old has made that opportunity count.
